Audrey and Gigi were the first to come visit with Henry at the hospital.

Audrey loves her new baby brother!

We came home Wednesday afternoon and are adjusting slowly.

We could not have made it to this point without the help of my parents! They came 3 weeks before his arrival due to my bed rest from high blood pressure. Unfortunately, my dad got a bad cold right as Henry was born so he didn't even hold him before he headed home on Thursday. We look forward to him rejoining us in March! Get well Grandpa!! Lucky for us my mom is able to stay for quite a while, until April! We really would not be surviving without her here. I can't describe how thankful I am to have such wonderful parents.

Maybe while mom is here I will be able to add posts more frequently until April :)

Ladybugs

We have a lot of ladybugs in the house this year. I don't know why but every couple of years we tend to have them come in. I don't mind them, they are way better then some other bugs. Audrey loves them! She found one and named it Pumpkin, because it was more orange then red. So now she thinks they are all Pumpkins. She wanted Greg to photograph one the other day and he got a pretty cool shot of her. I am normally not a fan of Greg's up close shots of bugs, but ladybugs I can handle.

Christmas 2011

We spent Christmas in Knoxville this year. I hoping this was our last year to travel for Christmas until the kids are older. It would be nice to start our own traditions at home. Since Greg's hobby is photography you would think he would take more pictures when the family is together. I think that should be his new years resolution! We really did see a lot of other family while we were up there. Here are a few pictures we did get.

We had a busy and fun holiday season. Now we are just gearing up for Baby Henry to arrive, both of the kids are getting excited! Audrey keeps saying he is taking forever to come, I'm about to the point to agree with her. Andrew is cute and comes up to my belly and says "Baby Henny." Unless he decides to come earlier, I am scheduled to go in January 30th!

Santa Party 2011

December 17th we had our annual Santa party. We have had the same Santa and Mrs. Claus now for 3 years. They are so sweet with the kids, its fun to watch the kids get to play and interact with them. Andrew is at that age where he loves "tanta" but wasn't so sure about being close to him. Audrey was very excited to get her turn to tell him just what she wanted.

Disney World!

In mid November we went to Disney World with Gigi and Grandpa. Audrey and Andrew had a wonderful time! Seeing everything through their eyes was just as wonderful for us. Audrey of course loved meeting all of the Princesses and watching all the live shows, her favorite ride was the People Mover. Andrew is now obsessed with Hot dog (Mickey, he calls him that from the hot dog song at the end of Mickey Mouse clubhouse) and Minnie. Pumpkins and Halloween

For Halloween this year we took the kids over to our friends house and let the kids trick-or-treat together. Audrey was a Pirate Princess and Andrew was Elmo. Audrey had so much fun running from house to house with her friend Wyatt (Buzz lightyear). Andrew and Sloane (Snow White) enjoyed the ride in the wagons.

Where did summer go??

Well, the summer just flew by! So I figured I would just summarize what we have been up to around here. In between Audrey's summer camps and the kids attending Mother's Morning Out we took a few trips. In June we went up to Knoxville to visit Greg's family.

We have of course we have spent some time with our friends having dinners and letting the kids play. Here is a picture from one night - Audrey, Owen and Nolan racing and Summer looking on from behind.

4th of July weekend we headed to the Lake with my parents and our friends the Kimel's.

We had a good time swimming, playing and seeing the fireworks.

The kids really enjoyed the "ice cream" play-dough set Lauren brought.

The kids and I made a trip to Kansas City to visit my brother and his wife the end of July. We had a great visit with them, but those pictures are on a camera somewhere. I will add them later.

August we have been spending time getting ready for Audrey to start 3 year old preschool and she started dance class. Andrew will continue at Mother's Morning Out twice a week. So I get a much needed 3 hour break two mornings a week! I will enjoy this time alone this fall before new baby Boy arrives the end of January!

Last Sunday we went for a walk and to feed the ducks at the Chattahoochee River Park. Here are a couple pictures of the kids feeding the ducks, one of their favorite things to do. Of course Andrew feeds half of his bread to himself ;)

Audrey had a week long celebration for her 3rd Birthday! Her actually Birthday was Monday so we celebrated at home with her favorite dinner, mac and cheese, and a chocolate cake with pink frosting! Then she took cupcakes to school and celebrated with her friends there. Friday we had about 7 little girls over for a lady bug picnic. It was fun to see her enjoy her birthday so much this year!

Greg took Audrey to a park to try and capture her at 3. He managed to get some cute shots of her playing around on the trail. There are just a few below.

We spent the second week in May down in FL with a group of friends. We rented a big house that had its own pool right on the beach. Even though there were 10 kids under 3 it was a wonderful and relaxing trip! Here are just a few pictures, you can click on our shutterfly link to the left to view more.

End of Spring 2011

We had friends over for an Easter Egg hunt and lunch this year. It was a lot of fun to see the kids really get into the hunt!

Of course Andrew didn't really get into the hunt.

The next weekend we ventured south of Atlanta to the Renaissance Festival. I hadn't been since a middle school field trip and was excited to see it again. Audrey enjoyed dancing the may pole with the fairies, getting her face painted, ridding a couple of rides and getting her own fairy wand. Andrew enjoyed his first Turkey leg and watching a few of the shows. Greg and I agreed it would be fun to get a sitter and go just us someday :)

Andrew's 1st Birthday Party

We had Andrew's 1st Birthday party last Saturday. A fun gathering of all our friends with kids running around the backyard. We got lucky that the storms rolled through Friday night and we were left with wonderful weather for an outside party. Andrew had so much fun with his buddies and LOVED his smash cake!

Hilton Head Island 2011

Last week the kids and I went to Hilton Head Island, SC with my parents. Audrey loved the beach and collecting shells. She was also happy to have a friend join her for a few days. Thanks to my friend Heather for making the drive down with her two boys. It was fun to have some friends there too. Below are some pictures.

I took the kids to get their picture with a live bunny a couple of weeks ago. Andrew did just as I suspected, he tried to eat him! Cottontail was a great sport about it and we ended up with the cute picture above. Audrey loved Cottontail, especially how soft he was. But then he pooped and she thought he was gross.

A Beautiful Sunny Day

Audrey wakes up most days declaring it "a beautiful sunny day." And we have had some especially beautiful ones lately. It is so nice to play around the backyard, we are lucky to have lots of room to run in ours. Besides swinging and grilling in her playhouse, Audrey loves to run down our hill in the back over and over again.

We went to visit Greg's youngest Brother, Phillip and his family over President's Day weekend. I know I am really behind... Phillip, Laura and Erin had welcomed Daniel back in November so we were over due to visit our new nephew.

Sunny day at the zoo

The weather was beautiful today so we headed out to the zoo. We got a later start then I wanted, really whats new. So we ran through the first part and stopped for lunch. That made the kids happy and ready to see the animals. You could tell even the animals were happy with the weather today, they were all out soaking up the sun.

And I love feeding him, he will eat anything, but especially loves meat and fruit. So today he dined on hot dog and grapes. Very different from Audrey who could survive on bread, fruit and cheese. Not sure where she gets that from ;)

I hate the petting zoo, it's just gross! And thank goodness Audrey doesn't really like to touch the animals too much. Today not at all, since the brushes were all gone and she won't touch them with her bare hands. But let me tell you those were some happy goats today soaking up that warm sun. I mean look at that face, he is HAPPY!

How did my baby boy get so big?

Andrew turned 9 months old on Wednesday! He is getting so big!

Andrew's top two teeth decided to make an appearance last month, finally! Now I think the two on either side of those are on their way too. As you can tell from the picture he loves to stick out his tongue, this adds to his drool. I like to call him my little BullDAWG! He is still for the most part doing the army crawl and starting to get on his knees more. He is pulling up to tables and couches and starting to cruise around. One of his favorite activities is to pull the air vents out of the floor and chew on them. He is all BOY! He has already fallen down the stairs (don't worry not even one bruise). Andrew's favorite toys right now are remote controls, the laptop, or his race cars. We have moved him off baby food, except for the occasional oatmeal in the morning. Some of his favorite foods are sweet potatoes chunks, green beans, and in step with his sister mac and cheese. I gave him scrambled eggs the other morning and he loved those too. No reaction to anything so far. He is sleeping from about 6:45 pm - 6:30 am, and sometimes waking up around 4 am because his diaper leaked and he is in a puddle of pee. He takes one nap a day now, normally right after lunch for about 2 hours. Although, the last two days they have only been for 40 minutes! Andrew is such a lovable, cuddly, mamma's boy, I love him to pieces! I don't know how he still has any skin on his chubby cheeks, they get so many kisses throughout the day!

The Princess and the Potty

We started full on potty training in October with Audrey. She was quick to pick up the pee part of this. Pooping however, took a little longer for her to get the hang of. She seemed scared to poop on the potty, but once she got over that it was all good. I have still been taking her on potty breaks, about every two hours or so to ward off any accidents. I didn't fully trust that she would go potty if she felt the urge. But this week she has done just that. She surprised me while I was making dinner Wednesday night! She just yelled at me from the bathroom that she needed help. She had pooped and needed a wet wipe. We are still wearing pull ups for now to bed, but I don't think it will be for much longer. If she does wet her pull up it is just a little most of the time. I think she likes going potty at different stores, because never fails she has to pee while we are shopping. As long as she asks and doesn't have an accident I'm ok with it.

Snow storm 2011

Well, I have to say I didn't really believe that the "storm" was coming. This does seem to be a good one for down here. It isn't the best snow to play in since it is covered in a layer of ice, but Audrey had a great time anyway. Greg went out later in the afternoon to take some photos and shovel the driveway, it had by then it had become more ice then anything.

Christmas 2010

Warning this one is photo heavy. Greg recently bought a new lens and then for Christmas my mom and dad got him lighting and backdrops. Greg is in photography heaven, if only he could get his subjects to work with him :) We drove out to my parents house in Bullard, TX this year for Christmas. The kids were amazing on our 12.5 hour family road trip (each way)! The only fussing was from Andrew, who kind of lost it the last hour each way. Can you really blame him? Audrey was happy as long as TinkerBell or Cinderella was playing. We did talk her into some Elmo for Andrew, but she wasn't very happy about it. We arrived at mom and dad's Christmas Eve night around dinner time. And then my brother, Lance, drove down from Kansas City Christmas day. It was so wonderful to be all together, that really doesn't happen often since we are all so spread out. My 86 year old Granny Grump was there too (mom and dad drove her down from Amarillo, TX the week before, an 8 hour drive). This was her first time meeting Andrew and let me tell you the two were in love! Audrey wasn't so much in love with Granny's dog KD, a pretty much worthless maltese. I know that sounds horrible but this dog really is worthless to everyone but Granny! She hand feeds it, if that tells you anything. So we didn't do much of anything except hang out, eat (a lot), and open presents. It was Great! Thanks so much for everything mom and dad we always have such a wonderful time, wish we could come more often!!

Holiday Happenings

We have had a wonderful holiday season so far, full of great times with wonderful friends! In between the kids and I getting sick every couple of weeks that is. Last week was the most eventful with an ER trip for Andrew on Monday night. Turned out to be dehydrated and from a virus and thrush from a strong antibiotic he was on. We are glad to say he is back to his normal self and getting into everything he can get his hands on. Audrey's new phrase is "no Andrew, that's mine." This past weekend we had our annual Santa party with our friends. Santa was a big hit this year, all the kids sat in his lap with no tears. Andrew might look a little upset, only because he was hungry and could see his bottle. All the cold weather has helped keep us in the holiday spirit around here.

Anderson's came for a visit

Our good friends the Anderson's came down for a visit the beginning of November. They have 3 girls, Josephine will be 5 in a couple of days, Ada is 2 months younger then Audrey, and Suzannah who is 2 days younger then Andrew. We had a busy schedule while they were here, went to the aquarium one day and the zoo the next. I only remembered to take pictures at the zoo, but Beth did a post too you can see by clicking here.

Can't wait for the next visit! Poor Andrew is outnumbered in this crowd!

Halloween

I figured I better get my Halloween post up before Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful Halloween this year! Our great friends the Hawkins hosted everyone for a party and trick or treating. Audrey really enjoyed getting candy, even had to dump her bag half way through because she said it was too heavy. Andrew just enjoyed the ride in the stroller.

Andrew is 6 months

Andrew turned 6 months old last Tuesday! Amazing how fast that happens! He is doing well, just can't seem to kick the crud so he was ordered back on amoxicillin. Between that, a stomach bug that flew through our house Sunday and Monday, and the fact that teething tablets were recalled, he has been a little sad. He is sitting up really well on his own now, only tips over when something catches his eye in another direction (normally Audrey). He is also enjoying more foods like yogurt and mashed potatoes, he didn't really like the potatoes but we will try again.

Yeah for cooler weather! We have enjoyed finally playing outside, now that it is cooler. Andrew loves to swing just like his sister.

Gathering, what she does best :) With her recent obsession with Tinkerbell she loves to find Acorns! So far we have only found two in our yard.

5 years

Greg and I celebrated our 5th anniversary last Friday. My parents were kind enough to watch the kids for us to have a weekend getaway! We finally decided on a relaxing spa weekend at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC. It was amazing, if you haven't been you should add it to your list. They have the most amazing spa!!!

Here are a few from 5 years ago at our wedding. I love looking back at these photos! Hard to believe how much has changed in 5 short years. I am so happy with the life we have made for each other and our wonderful children, I wouldn't change a thing!

It's been so long since I have updated this that Andrew looks like a different baby from the pictures I am about to post. He is growing and changing so quickly! He'll be 5 months on Sunday and I am just getting around to posting his 4 month stats.

Andrew at 4 months: 17.7 lbs (95th %tile) and 25 inches long (60th %tile)

Here is Andrew having his first taste of baby oatmeal. He has since moved on to also love sweet potatoes, peas, squash, apples, bananas, and carrots. He loves to eat! He has the thunder thighs to prove it :)

We went to Greg's cousin Samantha's wedding in mid August too. She had a beautiful ceremony and reception on the river. I didn't take many pictures and wished we could have stayed longer, but with two kids it wasn't happening. Here is a picture of Granny and Papa Gary with Andrew.

My mom and Dad came for the end of August thru the beginning of this week. They were so much help!! From watching the kids two weekends in a row, to helping out with odd jobs around the house, they are such a big help. Thank you so much Gigi and Grandpa! We all Love you so much!

The 4 of us enjoying the pool at the lake on Labor Day weekend. There is a new Lake Club pool that has a slide. Audrey went down 3 or 4 times with Greg. I was impressed that she liked it so much since it is a tunnel slide.

And Miss Audrey on her fist day of preschool. She really didn't want her picture taken. She loves her new school and gets excited when I tell her its a school day! Can't wait to see what all she learns this year!

Botanical Gardens

Last weekend we went to the Botanical Gardens with some friends. Audrey and Nolan had fun running around and really enjoyed the kids fountain. It was so hot they could have stayed there all day.

Sleep!

Andrew is a GREAT sleeper! He has been sleeping 10-12 hour stretches for the last 3 weeks! Also, if we are home naps for an hour in the morning and 2-3 hours in the afternoon. This might be a problem when he gets to be school age, but for now I am enjoying it!

Knoxville Visit

We spent the weekend in Knoxville a few weeks ago. We had a nice visit with all the Clinton/Bradley crew and everyone got to meet Andrew. We were happy that Phillip, Laura and Erin made the trip up from North Carolina too! The girls had a lot of fun playing together. We are excited that they too are expecting a boy in November! It will be nice that the girls are 9 months apart and the boys will be 8 months apart, so they each will have playmates.

Andrew is 2 months old

Andrew turned 2 months last Saturday and had his well check on Monday. He is doing great and getting big! He is smiles all the time now and is starting to "talk" more, which Audrey loves! He didn't like his shots and screamed the whole way home. We figured out he has a little silent reflux and started adding rice cereal to thicken his formula. Seems to be helping, but I am going to play with the amount of rice cereal to see if we can make it even better for him.

Art Class

Audrey wasn't into music class this summer, so I had to find something else. Since she was so proud of her art work from camp I decided to take her to art. She went for the first time today and loved it! Here is her art from class:

The teacher said she put all the beads on the pipe cleaners all by herself.

She loves her first bead art butterfly!

Smash butterfly, she painted one side and they folded it in half. The teacher painted the outline, but Audrey did the rest.

I can't wait to see what they make next week!

Summer camp

Audrey attended a summer camp at her new preschool last week. She had so much fun, and was excited to go each day! Makes me really excited for her to be going there in the fall. She came home Friday with her art and badges she earned that week.

She also had a clay piece of art, but before I could get a picture of it the cat knocked it off the counter and broke it :(

Audrey had her 2 year well appointment last week. She did great, but the shot really took a toll on her this time. She ended up really complaining about her sore leg and had a 103 fever the next day. She is all better now though!

We spent the week of Audrey's birthday in Hilton Head, SC with my parents. Audrey had so much fun this year!

We had a fun day celebrating Audrey's 2nd Birthday at the beach. She had a great time playing on the beach and at the pool. That night we grilled out and she met some older kids to play with, they were really nice and sang Happy Birthday to her and let her play Simon Says with them. Then we ended the evening with a cute lady bug cake.

Audrey and her friend Nolan had their 2nd Birthday party together last Saturday.

They had a wonderful party at a local park with all their friends. We were lucky this year and had great weather to be outside playing at the park.

Andrew has been a wonderful baby so far. Just have a small bit of jaundice that has made for daily trips to the hospital for more blood work. We go again tomorrow, hope it is making a downward swing. Here are a few pictures from Andrew's first week.

Andrew Meyer Clinton

Andrew Meyer Clinton arrived via a speeding delivery, Monday April 19, 2010. He shares his Birthday with his Aunt Stacey too, our babies like to share :) He is a tiny (by our standards) 8lbs 5oz and a long 20.5 inches long. So far he is such a peaceful little guy, but I know that will all change once we are home. We are looking forward to going home tomorrow afternoon and introducing him to Audrey. Cross your fingers for us that she will love him and want him to stick around.

We lost a lovely lady this week. Greg's Granny Audrey passed away early Wednesday morning. Thankfully it was a peaceful passing in her sleep. She was an amazingly smart, talented and spunky lady. I wish our little Audrey had the opportunity to get to know her wonderful namesake. But I know some of her qualities will continue on in our Audrey.

We took Audrey to a big Easter Egg Hunt with friends last Saturday. It was kind of chilly, but at least it was sunny! Audrey got the hang of finding candy and then wanted more, more. It was a really big hunt so she didn't get too much, but her and all her friends seemed to have fun together!

Audrey and Owen didn't really care about the Easter Bunny.

And they're off! This was the 3 & under hunt, there had to be around a hundred people there!

Greg's parents came for a short visit last weekend also. Audrey had fun playing and showing off all her skills for Granny and Papa!

I thought I would add some recent pictures since it has been a while. My parents have been around the area for the past two weeks. They each have trips with old friends from when they lived here each March. So Mom has been at our house this last week while Dad went to spring training in Florida. Too bad he caught a cold and didn't get to enjoy all of his games this year. They are leaving tomorrow so we are preparing ourselves for Audrey to be in a horrible mood. She has really grown close to her Gigi and Grandpa. Lucky for her they will be back in a few weeks to help when little brother Andrew arrives.

Audrey has been taking swim lessons again to get ready for the pool this summer.

Her friend Mary Kate turned 2 last week and had her party at a local park today. The weather was perfect and all the kids had a wonderful time!! Audrey loved flinging herself down all the slides, it really looks like she just throws her whole body down them.

They had it at a park with a pond so the kids had fun feeding the ducks. The ducks really didn't want anything to do with their bread though. I think maybe they were scared of the kids :)

Big bed update...

We have success!!! She is napping without a big fuss everyday now. There is still some fussing, but she has always fussed about naps even in the crib. But last night we turned out the light after stories and kissed her night-night and there was NO crying!!!! I am so proud of her!!

Now comes the fun part....potty training! She has started to really so an interest and sits on her potty every time Greg or I go to the bathroom. She is also, constantly smelling her babies and animals butts, saying eeww and then poo poo. She is really at a funny stage!

The adventure in potty training is scheduled to start in May or June. Stay tuned :)

She took a NAP!

So I decided to force the nap thing today. We talked about how she was going to go and take a rest and then at 2:30 I took her to her bed and left. We have always followed the 10 minutes of crying rule, so I started the timer. She cried and fussed, I even heard her come to the door and try to open it a couple of times....but in under 10 minutes there was silence!!! I have to say now is when I would like the video monitor. I just went in to check on her and see where she ended up sleeping, surprised to see she was in her bed and the room wasn't torn apart!

I also let her cry herself to sleep last night. I want her to get used to going to bed alone, and figured its better to get the hard part done before baby brother arrives.

Please save your hate mail, I know I am doing what is right for Audrey and me :)

Zoo and Getting ready for baby...

The weather was so nice today we decided to spend the morning at the zoo. We had a great time and Audrey really enjoyed all the animals.

Only a few weeks left until Andrew joins us! So I have been getting some things ready for his arrival, like setting up the pack n' play in our room for him to sleep there. Sidney has recently decided this is her new bed :) Can you see Brooklyn peeking over the edge.

Audrey is doing well in her big girl bed. It has been a week today and she has spent every night in there! Now I just need to work on her falling asleep in there on her own. For now I lay with her until she is asleep and then leave. She has made it the whole night without waking up every night except 2. The only big downfall is the nap is a thing of the past for now. One day she did fall asleep on the couch so I moved her to her bed to nap for 2 1/2 hours, but then she was a bear to get to sleep that night. So for now I am fine with the no long napping, especially since she is getting 12 hours of sleep and they recommend 12-14 at this age.

On Valentine's Day Audrey went to her friend Nolan's house to play, while Greg and I went on a wonderful lunch date. Click Here to check out the really cute post Nolan's mom Heather posted of them.

On another note, Audrey spent the entire night in her new bed! It started when I converted her crib to a toddler bed yesterday after her nap, thinking that would be a good step towards the big bed. Well, she freaked out when we tried to put her to bed in there. So I went and laid in her big girl bed with her to read another story and see if she would go night-night with me there. We went to bed at 8:30 together and by 10 I successfully made my escape. Well, her rail wasn't up so we placed a ton of pillows on the bed and on the floor and hoped for the best. By 11:45 she fell out, she was fine and barely awake, so back in bed with her I went. She slept great by herself until almost 4am and cried out for Mama, so I went back in for about an hour. She then slept until 6:30 this morning, at which time I made Greg get up so I could sleep another hour :) Mom's know you never really sleep while you are waiting to hear your baby, especially when they are in a new situation. We'll see how tonight goes...... I have to say I am most worried that naps may be a thing of our past. I know today mommy will be taking a nap with her, hopefully!

A Southern Snow

This is the most snow I remember seeing in Georgia since the blizzard of '92. We took Audrey out to play for a little while this morning. In true unprepared southern style, she had her spring windbreaker over her fleece for a coat, beach shovel to play with, and a trash bag covered trash lid as a sled. We do what we can down here.

Audrey screams no, no, no every time we try to take a picture of her lately. So sorry no new pictures to post until the diva decides we are allowed.

We had my mom with us again last week and Audrey loved spending time with her Gigi! She keeps asking for her still. She doesn't have to wait long, since Audrey and I will be flying to visit Gigi and Grandpa in two weeks. We are going to visit with my Granny since we didn't get to see her during the holidays this year. And I can't risk waiting until next Christmas to see her.

Audrey seems to be growing up so quickly lately. I wonder if she is getting ready to be a big sister? She is getting better at communicating with us everyday adding more and more words by the minute. Some of her favorites right now being - help, elmo, abby, more please, milk.... We are working on how to say brother and Andrew, she is getting better and maybe by the time he comes home she will have them mastered. She started a Mother's Morning Out program on Wednesday and seemed to have a good time. I know I enjoyed my time running errands without a toddler that has a different plan. This is a good step for her to get used to being away from mommy before brother comes and she starts preschool in the fall.

Christmas 2009

We spent Christmas weekend in Knoxville with the Clinton's. Audrey had a great time being spoiled by her Granny and Papa, and all the other family members that came by to shower her with gifts. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures from our trip.

My parents drove down from visiting my brother and his wife in Kansas City for a Very white Christmas. We celebrated Christmas with them on Monday. They stayed the week, so Greg and I took advantage and went out a couple of times. Thanks Mom and Dad, we really appreciate your babysitting!

Big Girl Room

18 month portraits

Went and had Audrey's 18 month portraits done this morning. She really didn't want to have her picture taken, so it took lots of entertaining to get these. I had visions of her hugging and kissing her doll with their matching pjs, but that didn't happen :) Hard to believe she is already a year and half old! We go for her appointment next week, so I will have her stats then.

Thanksgiving in Maui 2009

We went with my parents to Maui for Thanksgiving this year! It was so much fun, Audrey loves the pool and beach! She did really well on the flights; on the way out there mom and dad were on the long 8 hour flight with us, so she could bounce between everyone. On the way home she slept the entire way home! She did get a virus and passed it to dad and I, but other than that we had a perfect trip.

Halloween 2009

For Halloween this year we went to a friends house to party with the kids. It was perfect, we did a little trick or treating in the rain and then just hung out and ate chili. Our friend Carl dressed up as Elmo for the kids and they LOVED it! Too bad for him it was incredibly hot. Audrey just wanted to look at him, she wouldn't go to Elmo for a picture. But every time he would leave she called out for him.

Blue Ridge Weekend

We went to Blue Ridge with a group of friends the end of October, my Birthday weekend. It was so beautiful there, the weather was perfect all weekend! We had so much fun even with 7 toddlers ranging in age from 12 months - 17 months!

We went into downtown Blue Ridge Saturday and they were having a dog/lama festival. It was great entertainment for the kids!

UGA / UT weekend

We went to Knoxville this past weekend to visit with family and go to the UGA-UT football game. It was fun to go to a game again after several years, but the outcome was not good for my DAWGS! Greg was nice and didn't rub it in bad. Hopefully we can attend the next one in Athens.

Greg's youngest brother Phillip and his family came up from NC to visit too. So Audrey and her cousin Erin, who just turned 2, had a great time playing! They went to the zoo while we were at the game. It's hard to get two toddlers to stand together for pictures, so I don't have any really good ones.

Pumpkins!

Yesterday we had fun at Burt's Pumpkin Farm! The weather was great, I love Fall! We met up with some friends and took a hayride through the woods, explored all the big pumpkins and had a picnic. Of course the kids were always going in different directions so I don't have any good pictures of them together.

Yesterday was my dad's 60th Birthday!!!!

We tried to get Audrey to hold a birthday sign for a picture....yeah right! She played with the cat instead or threw the picture at me :)

I guess being a toddler means you want to learn how to accessorize? And the things they find and want to wear are pretty funny! Here are just a couple of her combos I have captured so far. I am sure there will be better ones to come in the future :)

Let's hope she still likes hats and shades when we go to Maui in November!

Fun Weekend

Saturday it rained again! So we didn't make it out to the Chili Cookoff like we wanted to. Instead we made forts! Audrey really enjoyed running in and out of the forts while Greg played music inside. She even recovered from running into the dining room table, only a small bruise on her forehead :)

Sunday was Beautiful!!! So we packed a picnic and went to the park! Audrey loves going down slides, only on her tummy of course :) She even went down some of the big ones herself, I didn't get a picture of that because she caught me of guard and I had to catch her.

I love how little she looks here walking with daddy around the park.

Yep its true, toddlers are busy! I am tired, but it is so cute to watch Audrey learn new skills and words. Her newest word is No! If you ask her any question she will answer with no, no, no, no in the cutest little voice ever though. So you have to laugh :)

Skydiving and 15 months old

Greg went skydiving last Saturday with a group for our friend Mandy's 30th Birthday! All 10 of them made the jump and enjoyed their time in the sky!

Audrey turned 15 months on Sunday! Before we know it she will be 2! I took her for her well check and shots Monday. Her stats are:

We had a fun long weekend in Knoxville this last weekend. There are always so many people to see when we visit. This trip we kept it simple hanging out with the Clinton's and Anderson's.

Audrey's Great Midwestern tour / roadtrip

Audrey and I are finally back from our fun trip to Texas, Kansas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

On this trip we visited/drove through 8 states and Audrey did great in the car (we drove over 30 hours with a 13 month old!)

First we flew to Dallas to visit my parents in Tyler, TX.

Gigi and Grandpa bought Audrey this great stroller that goes with her baby doll.

She strolled all over the house!

My parents live out on a lake and constantly struggle with pests.

I have always seen raccoons in the traps, but this time it was an armadillo!

I think they're cute, but the dig under your foundation so they must go.

Then one morning talking to my Granny on the deck, I looked down and saw ducks swimming in the pool!!!! Dad wasn't too happy about this, so the pellet gun was brought in to scare them away. The brown mama duck was laying eggs in their flower beds! No one wants duck poop around the pool :)

My mom hosted a family reunion Father's Day weekend.
We love our family from Tulsa, OK and they all came down!

Next My parents, Audrey and I drove to Kansas City, KS to stay with my brother and his wife.
While they were at work during the week, my brother's MIL Sue was nice to take us to the pool.
Thanks so much Sue! Especially since it was around 100 everyday!
Audrey loves water! She decided to use a float as a walker and pushed it all over the baby pool!

We made a couple of stops on our way back to Atlanta.
First we stopped in St. Louis, MO to have lunch with our old friends the Burch's and Brassie's.
Noelle and Joel just welcomed baby Coco June 9th! She is so adorable and sweet!
It was great to see you all!

We spent the night in Memphis, TN and visited with our friends the Azran's.
Audrey had so much fun playing with her friends Liam and Chloe!!!
Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Now we are back home, in time to celebrate Greg's 32nd birthday today!

It must be a Grandma thing, but my mom taught Audrey to hold her hands up when you ask her how big she is.

Audrey went to her 1 year doctor appointment yesterday, her stats are:

23.9 lbs (88th %tile)

30 inches long (80th %tile)

So she really is SO BIG :) and doing great. She is cruising everywhere and starting to stand without holding on to anything. So walking is in the near future. Her Father and I are not rushing this, please Audrey take your time!

Audrey and My Granny are birthday twins, so we are celebrating this week in Hilton Head, SC.

A really sweet mom in Audrey's swim lessons took some great photos and shared them. I don't know how she did it, the lighting at the pool is horrible!

Audrey has been taking swim lessons at the YMCA with her Friend Elliana since March. Audrey is a great kicker and loves the pool. Can't wait to hit the pool this summer!

Audrey received a fun Spring/Easter package from our Oklahoma relatives. She decided to show off some of her gifts.

The Peep that she is "eating" is really a light up bath toy. She wasn't sure about them when they light up in the water.

This is Audrey's new Car. Its really an early birthday present :) So much fun!

Some other exciting news! Audrey is officially crawling everywhere! Let the fun begin :)

First Haircut!

Audrey got her first real haircut this morning! We went to this super cute kids place called Pigtails & Crewcuts. She had fun "driving" her little police car and watching Horton on the TV's. Now she is all shaped up and no more rat tail:) We are going to get pictures tomorrow with real bunnies for Easter so we needed a new do for those!

March Madness

March has been crazy around here, happy and sad to see it go. We had something going on every weekend. The first weekend Greg and I flew to NYC to visit friends and old neighborhood. We had so much fun hanging out with everyone and getting away! And Audrey had fun with Gigi and Grandpa Meyer. The next weekend Greg's cousin Samantha and her boyfriend Aaron came to visit. Then my Mom (Gigi) came to stay the week with us while my Dad went to spring training in Florida with friends. We had a packed week of painting my kitchen cabinets, I can't possibly thank my Mom enough for all of her help! That weekend was my Mom's birthday so we took her out to celebrate at Maggiano's, yum. Celebrated a friends 1st birthday, and Leslie came to visit. Today Audrey and I ended the month with her first trip to the Zoo with friends. We will be back for more since we got a membership. Swings and Falls

Greg built Audrey a great swing frame in the backyard. It has two swings so we can have friends over to swing. I will post a picture of the whole structure once it is complete. The rain and snow postponed the final touches.

Audrey has been working on her balance, playing at her activity table. When her balance fails her she falls. Not a hard fall but we have a bit of a drama queen already, the second photo shows proof.

9 Months

Monday Audrey turned 9 months old! Let the countdown to 1 begin :)

Her stats were 22.4 lbs and 28 inches long

More Bathtime fun

Daddy took this really cute picture of Audrey in the bath the other night, he requested that I post it.

On another note, I think her top teeth will be cutting through any day now, I can see them just under the gums. So far she has 3 on the bottom. Still not officially crawling, I think when if ever she crawls she will be walking right after. She is starting to pull up on objects, but needs to work on balance while standing. We go Monday for her 9 month appointment, I am curious to see her stats.
